Hi Bryan, Just like real football there is no one single strategy that will work all the time. Part is experience, and part is just guess work. For example, if the other team ttries to pass the ball allot you might want to switch to or setup a passing defense based on the other teams plays. A blitz also works wonders in Jim's NFL. I have sacked my share of aponent quarterbacks using that defensive play. However, if the other team is doing allot of running plays you will want to use a strong defensive play like a goal line which forms your defensive team in a long line which the enemy team must run through or try and get around the left or right end. Which may force the other team to switch tactics and go for a short, screen, or long pass. I have just recorded week 4 of the Browns verses the Bengles, which as a win for me, and I can upload it if you want to hear an example game being played.
