Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has played Urban Dead? It's a text based game located at: http://www.urbandead.com. The concept of this game is cool. It's kinda like Scilent Hill, similar to that I think, and you create a char. It can start off as a human, but either way you'll dye sometime and it'll change to a zombie and you have to get yourself revived.
The thing I like about this game is that, well, there's this entire wiki of newspapers and things, and no matter where you start there's always gonna be new players there. When I started, there were like three or four players that started the same day if not the day before. There's no stupid rounds on it, either. It's persistant. Now here's our problem for screen reader users: The map. While we can move around on it and we know what place we're going because it's labeled, some of the buttons aren't labled and we need to figure out what they are. You could get so last in this game; you've got full control of your char, meaning moving, attacking and streets and things have basic descriptions and stuff. Also, if you guys aren't into zombie horror surviving and things, Shartak, which the admins are actually trying to make it accessible, is more or less similar to Urban Dead, but in a jungle environment back in the days with jungle tribes and that. Actually, someone claims that Urban Dead is similar to Kingdom of Loathing. Macanics whise yes. Theme and plot? No. Try it out and see what you guys think, I'm trying to think of ideas to email the admins of the too games to make them more accessible. _______________________________________________ Gamers mailing list ..
