I would rather try to attack, attack, attack (bang) it because I would think 
that it's an enemy.

The same with locating the fruit bowl. I locate its sound until its centered
then I use the correct password, the same with murtil's toilet.
If I hear snake, snake, snake I locate that sound then try something with
it.
A player who didn't read the books, would first try out something like
alohamora then try out all the passwords.
