Hi, So I’ve been on this list a while. I usually just lurk, but I have a few questions about the xbox one.
So it’s going to be black Friday soon. My goal is to go to the states (I’m in Canada) and buy one of the originals for cheap. And here we go with the questions. Since I can’t simply return this once I get it – it won’t be as easy as simply driving to the store and dropping it off, anyway – I’m curious if narrator only works in the US region or if I can change it to Canada, since it will still be English? If not, how will the store work? Will I still be able to add my Canadian credit card and buy games and things that way? My next question is simple – does narrator work on the setup screen? If I connect a keyboard to one of the USB ports and hit windows enter with simply a 3.5 mm pair of headphones plugged into the controller, am I going to be able to get anywhere? Hopefully I won’t need HDMI – at the moment we don’t own a tv with one. I’m also hopefully going to find a tv on sale there, too, but right now I’m going with the worst. I’m guessing if I just leave the system set to US this should work – though I’m going to assume since I’m buying it from the US the region should already be set to it. How does the first pairing of the controller work? Is it hard? Sorry if some of these questions seem silly. I’m from the pre ps3 era of video gaming, so a lot of this is completely brand new to me. Any help is so beyond appreciated at this point. Thanks!
