[Audyssey] problems playing paladin of the sky

Hi guys, I'm struggling to play paladin of the sky because no matter which 
option I pick for dragon strike I'm still told to give it another go in the 
tutorial battle.  I hit enter for example with my right hand, and the second 
i hear the whooshing sound I hit my left alt key with my left hand, but it 
just beeps and tells me to try again, and it's the same whatever key I set 
it too.  I've put jaws to sleep and am running the game in sappi mode.  Also 
the tutorial says i can change my dragon strike combo by hitting x to take 
me into the menu, but when I hit x it does the same thing as enter does and 
makes the sound for me to press my dragon strike key.  Am I missing 
something?  Also, do I have to go through the tutorial everytime the game
