yes and there are clones of that somewhere if you really want to doodle
with that as there is with gambling and such.
The mission system in gulch is the only thing I am missing and same with
chillingham.

Ah ok I see, but that doesn't alter the fact that I'm seriously
adicted to the slot machine lol. Do you play the Shell game by any
chance Charles? I have a hard time keeping track of the coin once
it's under the shell and don't know how to tell 1 shell from another.
My sister also does a cracking impression of the bank manager, she can
whistle like that, but I can't seem to crack it. :)

One thing that I do remember about Gruzly Gulch is that the game was
designed for a new gamer. Very few keystrokes are needed to play, and
there
is no learning curve. The sounds are good. I felt that it sicceeded
as far
as game design. It wasn't an intricate game, but wasn't intended to be.

Hi Kelly, I seem to remember you doing a really great review of
Chillingham and Grisley Gultch, that's what got me interested in
them, then my parents managed to get me both games as a birthday
presant, however my Chillingham cd is also lost in the vaults of my
bedroom! I totally agree with you, that ending was pretty pathetic,
almost as though it had been written by someone completely different
who wasn't even involved in the rest of the story. One thing I liked
about your Chillingham review though was the way inwhich you delbt
with the bad guys like the wolves and vampires and witches. The in
game voices for both games were good too, but I seriously ended up
wanting to throw that old Bill the Hermit guy to the gaters! Most
people would be happy with an anti alergy pill, a pat on the back or
a glass of water, but oh no, not old bill lol. having said all that
I do prefer games with more controls than just 4 keys you hit over
and over again.
From Lori.

Hi Lori,
Even though I haven't played the games from Bavisoft in a very long
time, I
remember those snakes from Grizzly Gulch very well. You can get past
them,
but it requires careful listening. Don't feel bad, it took me a few
tries
myself.
As for Chillingham, I think my CD is lost, but it really doesn't
matter. I
honestly never want to play it again. I think what really ruined that
game
for me was the part where you had to get a certain number of bugs for
the
professor, who then wants you to go back and get more. And more! And
even
more! At one point, I was almost yelling, "Hey! You want more? Go and
get
them yourself!" That, and the cliffhanger ending, which of course was
never
resolved since the promised sequel was never released.
I'll admit, though, it was great getting emails from users asking for
hints
on how to complete the game because they couldn't contact Bavisoft.
Thanks.
Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia
