Yep, it's obviously a time for gamebooks, though this one is available online over at www.ffproject.com.
This one looks particularly good. By a new gamebook author, Cian Gill, it's set in modern day New Orleans (as you might guess from the name), but with lots of voodoo curses, nasty monsters and generally unsettling writing, it even begins with you exploring the classic abandoned cabin in the swamp, ---- oh, and best of all from what I gather, not one erotic vampire to be seen :D.
