I'm sure lots more people downloaded Star Trek Final Conflict than are currently playing the Rail Racer beta, but so far I haven't had a single system that couldn't run it out of around 40 setups after installing the .net components, and the systems vary from 98 machines to the latest high speed XP setups. I think you might have a few clients that wont be able to run the .net stuff, but they are in such a minority I wouldn't worry about it. As for the force feedback aspect, this is the only problem I have had with vb.net and I am still hoping to find someone to code a .dll for me that will get around the issue. If it were me, I'd go ahead with the .net and focus on getting finished before all the people that pre ordered Monty ages ago start plucking chickens and melting tires in preparation for a tar and feathering party at your house, grin.
