Hi Ishan, Most of the time if I am working in Windows I use Goldwave latest version for editing and sound editing. It is fairly accessible and only costs about $50 USD. It has anything and everything you could want from a reasonably priced sound editor.
If you are looking for something on the free and open source end of things there is Audacity. It is a bit tricky to use, but is fairly accessible once you get the hang of its editing features.
