Hi all, I'd like to point out here John has a point. Just because a piece of hardware is new doesn't mean it won't be faulty or die within a couple of months of use. I've been the recipient of a number of pieces of hardware that were dead straight out of the packaging, and have had my share of hardware die after minimal usage. I can't offer any reliable statistics, but I have had enough personal experience to state if it is going to hold up it will and if it doesn't it won't no matter how much you baby it.
