Hi Nicol,
Before I get on to the matter of answering your question I'd like to say
the bit about Harry and the rose garden is simply a roomer nothing more
or less. It is more of that negative publicity from those who hate Harry
Potter, magic , and want to find ways to demonise it and justify their
point.
Now, the reason why Sarah is in the game rather than Harry Potter
himself is probably more do to copyright issues involved more than
anything else. Perhaps, Phil had other personal reasons, but I'd say
copyrights was the major one. Second, to that Phil has written a story
about Sarah traveling to London and visits the castle during summer
break, and ends up wandering the castle for several hours.
The objective of the game is quite simple. Sarah has heard about Harry
Potter and the castles reputation, and wants to see all of it for
herself. Thus she sneeks into the castle to explore. During her quest
she must find magic items like wands, maps, any treasure, snacks, and
well go on a grand sight seeing tore of the castle. Hopefully, avoiding
ghosts and other creatures along the way.
Now, about the bit about witches there are often good witches, called
white witches, and bad witches, called black witches. In the Wizard Of
Oz Glinda the good witch of the north, a white whitch, carried a simple
wond with a star on top, she was pretty, and was dressed in a glittering
dress. The bad witches carried brooms, were old and ugly, and were
dressed from head to foot in black.
