Hi Shaun, No, not all programs have to have a GUI. The only thing that matters if the code has been compiled for the right type of processor and operating system. I could write a 64-bit console application that runs on Windows 8 right now if I wanted to, but I think most gamers would prefer a GUI even if one is not necessary.
