Hi Nicol, In the Shades of Doom manual it states: Med kits are good for your health. In fact, when you use a med kit, your health is increased by an average of fifty percent of your original healthy state, to a maximum of 100%. The key words are average of 50 percent not just 50 percent. This means that sometimes you get 1 percent increase while other times you may get 99 percent. The way I think it works is you have 20 hit points out of a total of 200. Which gives you a health of 10 percent. You take a med kit and the game picks a random number between 1 and 200. If it is 20 then you go from 20 to 40 hit points and health goes up to 20 percent. But if it picks 190 it adds the 190 to your 20 and gets 210 which is over your maximum 200 hit points, so it reduces the number to 200 and now you have 100 percent health. Hope this is understandable! Phil
