Hi Josh, I watched the Harry potter movies but have not taken any sounds from them. I went by the description of the sounds in the books.
OK I confess, I did take one sound from the movies, but I distorted it and mixed it with other sounds so I hope no one would recognize it. Then I found out they used a wind chime sped up to be the sound of the golden snitch, so I did the same thing. And I used the Big Ben chime when entering a new floor of the castle.
