I actually kept running into trouble since i was never sure whether zero was
the hardest level or the easiest level :D.
another thing for learning general stratogy might be to try BG battleship
from spoonbill. it is not that this is intrinsically better or worse than
Jim's game (Jim's certainly has more different skill levels for the
computer, plus the ability to play in space), however it does include a lot
of tools to get better at the game, such as the ability for the computer to
give probable locations of what ships your searching for, and also hints,
making it a nice way to practice at the game.
