Hi Shaun,
Well, the extractor I suppose to launch the setup, but in some cases it 
doesn't always work. Extracting the file and running dxsetup as you do 
is the safest way. although, I think I am going to switch to the hweb 
installer since I know folks will be getting the latest which is October 
2006.
