That's definitely true. Probably you missed the ships because you forgot, as I did, to calculate one basic variable--that of lead time. If you're under a moving ship and fire, you will miss every time because the ship is moving. You have to get a bit to the left or right side of it depending on which way it is moving in order to hit it. I have been in contact with the developers and have made some requests for improvement. If they take half the advice I gave, you'll be seeing quite the game soon.
