Direct x 9, hmm, I'm using that at the moment and it doesn't seem to be very responsive with car frequencies on topspeed, but it worked fine when I was running direct x 8. what's going on there then? And when I downloaded the net framework before I had to get my computer reformatted any game I played crashed on exit. I wonder if it's the type of laptop I'm running, because that is just weird if it works for everyone else.

You will need the latest version of directX9C to run the game. This has been the main problem with the handful of folks having trouble with running it, because they had an older version of DirectX. You can get the file here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=FB73D860-5AF1-45E5- BAC0-9BC7A5254203&displaylang=en You will also need the .net framework 1.1. You can check to see if you have this in your add or remove programs icon under the control panel. The link to download it is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842- 8157-034d1e7cf3a3&displaylang=en If you are currently running accessible games, you may already have these files, but I wanted to go ahead and give the heads up so folks could download them if necessary. If you have any trouble getting these, feel free to email me.
