Hi Kary, I have met several families that come up with that rule, and it drives me buggers. The entire point is to buy up what someone else needs and make them buy it at the highest bitter. After all the game is called Monopoly. You don't get ritch by being Mr. Nice Guy. You get that way by owning it all and making the other players come to you and pay big bucks for what they need. The shrudest player usually wins.
