BTW, for anyone that is in desperate need of a microphone, you can use a 
spare set of headphones as a mic.  Just plug your headphones into the 
microphone jack of your soundcard and speak into the earpiece.
  This doesn't produce the best audio in the world, but it will work in a 
pinch.
