FVWM: key modifiers don't work on toshiba satellite pro M10

Hi,

I can't get these .fvwm2rc entries working on my  Toshiba Satellite Pro
M10 (they work correctly on my desktops and my nec-versa laptop, all
with the same OS, openSuSE 10.3 with fvwm2 version 2.5.26 and the same 
.fvwm2rc):
Key Left        A       C       Scroll -100 +0
Key Right       A       C       Scroll +100 +0
Key Up          A       C       Scroll +0   -100
Key Down        A       C       Scroll +0   +100
Key F5          A       N       Move
Key F5          A       C       Resize
Key F5          A       S       Raise

They *do* work if I use the A modifier, but that's not very useful of
course.
What can I do to tackle this problem?
