Windows are unmapped in fvwm when they are on a different desk,
but simply moved out of view when on a different page.  In any
case, there is nothing fvwm can do to force the X server to cache
hidden portions of windows, and it's not the job of the window
manager to do it.  However, sone of these funny 3d or rendering
extensions to X need to do this.
