I have just moved from Fedora 7 to Fedora 8. The fvwm version has moved from 2.5.21 to 2.5.24. Everything is working pretty well and has migrated across OK except that the fonts used by fvwm seem to have become rather large and spidery.
It's particularly noticeable in the menus you get when you click on the background, the font seems about twice as big as it was. Also the font used for the FvwmPager: Label texts have become less bold although they seem to be the same size as they were. Looking at my .fvwm2rc file many of these seem to be set to some size of adobe-helvetica but that font *is* available according to xfontsel. What could be doing this? Have I lost something (or not installed/built something)? I have the Fedora 7 installation still and can run it so I can go and look there. -- Chris Green
