Alexandre,

NOTE: This schedule is currently out of date as unanticipated stability problems were
introduced with the PAE MFCs. Over the next 2 weeks we will try to correct those
problems. On September 30 we will have either fixed the stability issues, or we will
back out the PAE import and move forward with the 4.9 release without PAE. In either
case, the release will be delayed at least 2 weeks from its original schedule, and
picking exact dates will be difficult until the PAE decision has been made

O Scott Long semana passada postou um email falando do status do 4.9 e do 5.x.

21.2.2.1 What Is FreeBSD-STABLE?
FreeBSD-STABLE is our development branch from which major releases are made. Changes
go into this branch at a different pace, and with the general assumption that they
have first gone into FreeBSD-CURRENT for testing. This is still a development branch,
however, and this means that at any given time, the sources for FreeBSD-STABLE may or
may not be suitable for any particular purpose. It is simply another engineering
development track, not a resource for end-users.

aconselho voc usar sempre a ltima RELEASE.
