Hi robyduck,
First, you should understand that your request is quite late for subsidy
decision, and we have a tight budget for travel subsidy. In fact many
accepted speakers were not granted full subsidy in previous decision
meetings. However, your request seems rather reasonable to us. Specially
your proposed talk about Fedora websites looks interesting and attractive.
We currently do not have slots for standard sessions, so it can be a
lightning talk, and there is a chance to be promoted as standard session
in case of schedule change. We also would like you as a FAmSCo member to
come to the event and help since tuanta cannot. Therefore we decide to
approve your request. As for the specific amount, we can provide you 450
USD for travel subsidy after careful arrangement of overall budget. The
extra fee and hotel fee have to be paid by yourself.
If you accept the subsidy, please act quickly to apply visa and buy flight
ticket and book your hotel. You can seek help from us by direct emails or
fudcon-planning list.
