Charleston sounds like fun although transportation is going to be a nightmare.

Unfortunately these dates don't work so well for me so I won't be able to 
attend.  I hope others don't have this problem.

I really wish this had been discussed in a more open way much earlier.  
Four-months notice isn't really a lot when you are talking about trying to get 
a large number of people together during the summer (northern hemisphere, 
anyway).  I also sort of understand why Charleston was chosen (although not 
Charleston in August!) but there should have been an open bid process so that 
options could have been discussed more openly.

I'm quite disappointed at how this came together and I hope that future events 
are better planned in the open.
