Sorry for the paywalled link, but the story is just hilarious. It appears that the best conspiracy theory of all is that rich people make money by secret tricks, because if you make a deep fake Elon promising to show you one of the tricks, you can suck money out of people like there´s no tomorrow. And you can target your deep fake elon to vulnerable populations on facebook faster than meta can clean up after you. What a wonderful world. -- rec --
