I downloaded this website/webapp book from sitepoint, a publisher I've been using quite a bit lately. They hold out hope for a modestly converged mobile world .. without iPhone vs Android divisions.
As far as I can see, this is the web designers dilemma, and they have an interesting approach: build a mobile friendly website and migrate that to webapps (currently phonegap). I think this works for things like the NYTimes or NPR mobile world .. but likely not for games and devices using the mobile facilities like camera and acceleration sensor. -- Owen ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: SitePoint <bo...@sitepoint.com> Date: Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 10:10 AM Subject: Build Mobile Websites and Apps for Smart Devices - Your Sample Chapters!
