For the friam algorithmers, here is one list of the 10 most wicked cool
algorithms out there. Interestingly, there are no financial algorithms, such as
Black-Scholes, the arguably has had the greatest financial impact on our
society (and led to major financial crises such as the demise of Long Term
Capital Management), or the many financial market simulation/prediction efforts.
Also, there is nothing on agent based modeling. Is it an algorithm? Do we need
to crank up our publicity machine?
