WoW!    that's huge, instantly delivering seemingly all but one of the
things for visualizing change I've been dreaming of....    That one
thing though, is kind of big.   For some reason the whole presentation
is devoid of any reference to or awareness of the natural development
cycle, how innovations begin and end.   All he mentions that's a little
related is that "the concept of economy is growth with percent".   All
this wisdom..... and perpetual exploding increase of complexity and
consumption in real terms is still the model!
 
Yes indeed, it does make a difference how you choose to aggregate your
data.   All his charts are distributions for one thing.  Those are not
'real terms'.

I was sent this link by a colleague yesterday...have you already
seen/discussed this method of data visualization? If you haven't checked
it out yet, the presentation by 
Hans Rosling is definitely worth watching...most captivating researcher
I've seen/heard present in some time...
