If you installed freesurfer with admin permissions, you should mv or cp the
file to the destination directory with `sudo` in front of your command to run
as root.

on the ubuntu system and I obtained the license.txt file by following the
guidelines on freesurfer site. I can't paste the file into the freesurfer older
because I have not the permission to do it, how can I solve this problem?
