I now have a "partially" bootable FreeDOS.

The key word is not "boot" but rather "status active". I tripped over this issue in OS/2, but don't recall ever having an issue in DOS or Win.

It has booted to "Bad or missing Command Interpreter: C"\Freedos\BIN\COMMAND.COM C'\fREEdos\BIN /E"1024 /P=C"\FDAUTO.BAT"

"Enter the full shell command line:"

THAT, I do recall seeing in the past. But in those cases I could boot a utility floppy, and search for the location.

I just read the root directory of the FreeDOS USB stick. I did not find a readme.txt telling me to set the partition active, and what to enter after "Enter the full shell command line:". And couldn't FreeDOS install do those things without me?

I assume it is looking for COMMAND.COM, and there is not a copy in the root or BIN?

Can someone tell me what to enter after: "Enter the full shell command line:" ?

TY
Ray
