That version of lynx is my preferred retro-PC browser. I use https://curl.se/docs/caextract.html to get updated certificates. Also, the command line option to accept all cookies eliminates a lot of bother. Unfortunately, it seems to be removed from djgpp so I'm glad to see FreeDos is hosting it. I'm not sure what it would take to compile a more recent version, but would encourage anybody with the know-how to give it a try.
I've also used the links browser in the past with some success, though I will briefly note that the last time I tried it I could not get it working. Also, there are stability issues - it crashes in GUI mode after a few pages. Lynx, however, appeared quite stable.
