Hi,

That's not true. man pages are manuals for specific programs and functions. Whether the subject of a manual's help is limited to a specific operating system, like you're implying, is not the case for programs and functions that are not exclusive to Linux. If you don't have access to a computer with Linux, that's fine, because there are online resources for man pages. Here's one result for p7zip that's fairly up to date: https://manpages.opensuse.org/Tumbleweed/7zip/p7zip.1.en.html

One thing you can definitely beware of in such manuals is when features for Unix-like operating systems are taken for granted by the author, and not made obvious to the reader. For that reason, I'll give you a heads up and let you know that piping the input and output is probably not going to work on traditional DOS. It works on FreeDOS however.

as I am not using Linux, while kind, the man pages would not help here.
