That's not true. man pages are manuals for specific programs and
functions. Whether the subject of a manual's help is limited to a
specific operating system, like you're implying, is not the case for
programs and functions that are not exclusive to Linux. If you don't
have access to a computer with Linux, that's fine, because there are
online resources for man pages. Here's one result for p7zip that's
fairly up to date:

One thing you can definitely beware of in such manuals is when features
for Unix-like operating systems are taken for granted by the author, and
not made obvious to the reader. For that reason, I'll give you a heads
up and let you know that piping the input and output is probably not
going to work on traditional DOS. It works on FreeDOS however.
