Hi!
I noticed FreeDOS.org links a few interesting DOS app repositories:
Our link to https://reimagery.com/fsfd/unix.htm is 404 now, but...
https://dosprograms.info.tt/ (note the updated URL) is quite nice :-)
Categories are sound (including mpxplay, opencp, xtcplay, several
midi and cd players etc.), graphics (dosview can even do webp and
jpeg2000, while lxpic is tiny; also includes some nice paint apps),
utilities (including drivers, USB, info and filesystem stuff),
apps (editors, pos, gui, file managers, archivers, pdf, cad etc.),
internet (many browsers, ftp, sntp, irc, ppp, servers, ssh etc.),
programming (old and new compilers, regina rexx, dojs, perl 5,
python 2.4/2.2, batch tools, GUI like ozone, seal or GEM, libs
like allegro, nanox/fltk and mgrx, tutorials and more), other
DOSes (svardos, several freedos distros including xfdos with
fltk based graphical office apps, dosbox, etc.), and links.
The Cobalt DOS link from the above seems to be dead, though.
https://clasqm.github.io/freedos-repo/ is nice, too, but I find
it amusing that https://clasqm.github.io/freedos-repo/TSR.html
uses a screenshot of ASCII BOX on top of EDIT in spite of EDIT
already having a built-in character table as well :-D
Last but not least, there could be more advertisement for the
tree-shaped list of FreeDOS package LSM app info on FreeDOS.org
Cheers, Eric
