If you bought a Pocket386 and want to know the exact steps that I used
to install FreeDOS (using T2406 test release) on this micro laptop, I
wrote an article about it for Both.org:

"Running FreeDOS on legacy hardware"
https://www.both.org/?p=5690

Basically, the steps are:

1. Connect the CF card to my Linux box

2. Run QEMU on Linux, using the CF card

3. Use manual steps to create the partition (FDISK) and create a DOS
filesystem (FORMAT C:) and make it bootable (SYS C: /FORCE:CHS)

4. Use SETUP ADV to run Advanced Mode on the installer, finish
installing with that (skip the "transfer system files" step)

5. Transfer the CF card back to the Pocket386, and boot

As I mention in the article, copying files to the laptop requires
using the CF card. But I guess that's not too different than
"floppies" and "sneakernet" from back in the day. :-)

I'll also copy this into the FreeDOS Wiki this weekend, so we have a
permanent copy on our own site.
