Actually I could have mentioned the driver manual in sp39596.exe:files/SataDosBoot_MWP.pdf states one limitation: > Note that though the AHCI.sys driver provides DLA, it does not support > Insert/Eject notification. Usually I work around that by typing DIR on the empty optical disc drive, then repeatedly hitting R key for retry while drive is loading new disc. Here I didn't eject the disc. Too, I remember form past experiences with Windows 98 SE installation CD, modified in an analog way, very similar behaivour.
