Yes, that's the version I had. If you can run Wolfenstein 3D on FreeDOS (on actual hardware) then I agree that it suggests my problem has something to do with the QEMU virtual machine. I'll take Wolfenstein 3D off my "to worry about" list. Seems clear it's something in hardware. Jim
