I was playing with VMWare Player and installed FreeDOS 1.3RC2 on the HD image. After everything booted up, largest executable program was showing around 567Kor so. Next, I put the same installation on an image and booted it using DOSBox-X, one of the variants of DOSBox, which seems to work well with my software as well. Interestingly, when I ran mem on this one, (same files, same config files), it showed largest executable program size 629K. I've heard VMWare doesn't handle expanded memory very well. But, that's over 60K difference. Cheers.
