Neither infozip nor 7zip have any specific freedos relationship.

Downloading infozip or 7zip as zip files provided by the freedos
community will not cause any problems for using infozip in ms dos
or using 7zip in MS dos. Basically, any dos will do, even the very
old MS dos. If you use long file names, the corresponding drivers
should work on any DOS, too. Or use Windows 98 DOS without drivers.

I still think that even old infozip or 7zip will be able to open
files which much older PK zip for DOS may have problems with. In
spite of PK zip being a high end product long ago when it was new.

Regards, Eric
