Which DOS is 7.1? MS, PC? I didn't think there was a DR-DOS 7.1, and FreeDOS
is only on the way to 1.3.

I vaguely remember a Datalight ROM-DOS, Phystechsoft PTS-DOS, and RxDOS from
long ago, now for the most part long forgotten, were not useful to me.

My inclination would be to use something from Linux, NetBSD or FreeBSD.

I can run FreeDOS only on a USB stick. Hard drives are partitioned GPT, and I
believe this is incompatible with any DOS.

Size/capacity of USB sticks makes it difficult to run any DOS or anything else
with FAT16; I use FAT32.

Not sure about scandisk; I believe chkdsk does not work on FAT32?

Tom
