as far as I understand you, you HAVE already a (virtual) FreeDOS.img
floppy in your BIOS.

just keep it. kernel.sys and command.com haven't changed at all
for 10+ years. if you want, replace them anyway.

replace them the way you prefer: mount, replace, n,ount.

nothing special.
