Just out of curiosity I created a ZIP archive of almost 4 MB size - and I don't see any problems with copy neither with move. I can copy/move the file on a whim. Maybe RAM size may be your issue? I don't know the way copy/move works; is it simply copying the file to memory first (as a whole) or "more intelligent" way copying/moving it byte-by-byte from one to other location.
