There is a floppy image here:

most VMs.

Hi
86Box[1] is based off of PCem[2], a PC emulator that can emulate many
kinds of PCs -from the original PC up to pentium 2 models. I like it
slightly better than PCem because I like the interface better.
Some models can boot from CD-ROM, none of them can boot the FreeDOS
cdrom. The kernel freaks out and crashes.
However; most models can boot FreeDOS from a floppy. From there you
can manually (fdisk, format, xcopy) install FreeDOS onto a hard disk
-at least with the models (486+) which are able to read the cdrom.
For FreeDOS 1.3 it would be very helpful if there was some sort of
installer on the CD that someone could run even if they're not able
to boot the cdrom. Additionally it would be great if there was an
emulator-ready floppy image included on the iso that could be copied
out and then used to boot and install FreeDOS from. (When possible,
more options are better)
I've enjoyed using FreeDOS for a few years now, and I appreciate the
hard work y'all put into these releases -thank you!

Random
