I have a 1998 Sony Vaio running FreeDOS. This model did not include an ethernet controller (or wlan), but it does have an old modem in it. I've been going through the networking guide referred to by Rugxulo, and I got down to running NICSCAN.EXE only to realize *oops!* this computer doesn't even have an ethernet card.
Supposing I could find a working phone line and dial-up service to connect the modem to, is there hope of using TCP/IP applications like wget over it using the software available to me?
