I'm not comfortable enough with it to do it all myself. > How do I get further with these? Although I'm a bit rusty with such things, I think the proper workaround would be to "fdinst remove bwbasic" (and similar) first, then "fdnpkg install bwbasic" to install from scratch. (Failing that, just delete the erroneous file manually.) Worst case scenario, just manually unzip somewhere. It's just .ZIP files, after all. I know that's not ideal, but that's how it's normally done for DOS. FPC has its own installer, and latest is 3.0.4, so technically you might be better off just installing manually with files from upstream. At least, that's what I do. That way you can better customize your install according to your needs. http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/devel/pascal/freepascal/3.0.4/dos304.zip (but "full" has all sources, if you really need that, doubtful) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
