There are a billion editors, so I can barely remember them all! JED (Emacs-ish) works quite well, and it has partial (third-party) vi support. Another popular one is SETEDIT, which is what (old but very popular) RHIDE was based upon. FTE is darn good, too. And don't forget FED. Speaking of vi, I forgot about OpenWatcom's vi clone! Speaking of Emacs, there were many old ones, e.g. JOVE or mg (2a) or MicroEmacs (whether D. L.'s or JASSPA or whatnot) or tm or Freyja or .... There's also a partial port of JOE 2.x called JUPP.
