I don't know my client version. It is supplied by Juno.
They don't have an update for me. I don't think https
is the problem. I used the same browzer on my neighbor's
wifi on my laptop and everything worked 100%. Its just
Juno. Security is set to SSL 3 and it seams to work
on neighbor's wifi. It all started right after that big
data breech and Apache said they had an improved server.
I think the world started using the new server and I
suddenly got disconnected.
I hate to loose Juno and its email; mostly the email.
cheers

I can reach my bank, amazon and ask.com.
It started about a month ago with google &
wikapedia then slowly spread to eveything
else. Slowly one by one web sites stopped responding.
Even Juno.com doesn't respond.
Juno doesn't have anything to offer.
There are no error messages.
Its a pain to change IP but not alot of choice.
I did notice comments on the web about
people not being able to connect to Google.
I'm betting that the servers have changed to
provide more security but without a new client
you can't get in. The total lack of error messages
is a real problem.
I assumed your hardware wasn't the problem.
The likely issue is that the web is moving to https for
connectivity.
This creates an encrypted session between you and what you are
accessing. It's more secure, but requires using a browser than can
*do* https.
What client are you using now? I don't try to browse from DOS, and
haven't kept up on what's available for it, so I have no idea
whether
a client that will work exists.

What can you still successfully connect to?
I can't connect to freedos.org and many other web sites.
Freedos.org doesn't appear to have changed. It's simple as such
things go.
And it's *not* configured to access it through https, which is
unusual, as the rest of the Internet is rapidly moving in that
direction.
Whatever changed would seem to be between you and the sites you
visit.
You need to see if Juno made changes that would affect you.
The servers must have changed and I think I need and updated
client. Any ideas.
What client are you using now?
I'm afraid you may be reaching the "Sorry, this can't be done
under
DOS" point, but I'd be happy to be wrong.
