What I understand from some debates on internet, DOSEMU isn't included
in Linux distros due to licensing issues, in a nutshell:
- DOSEMU itself is OK, but it include FreeDOS
- FreeDOS license is OK, but it is compiled with OpenWatcom
- OpenWatcom, although opensource project, isn't for many Linux
  distributions license-compliant piece of SW.
See e.g. this link from 2009:

Perhaps should be possible and acceptable distribute DOSEMU without
FreeDOS, but it just moves the problem a bit below.

Otherwise, I use DOSEMU over 15 years, both in terminal mode and
under X11, and it (despite occasional snags) works fine and is still
evolving (especially lately, thanks to the Stas Sergeev effort).

Regarding to DOSEMU/SELinux interaction, it isn't too big problem
tune it e.g. in SELinux permissive mode.
