Now THAT I didn't know, until last week.
It is worth pointing out that prior to my retirement I used the PS2 Touchpad
and never had any of these kind of problems. However when I tried to order
more of these, was told that they are now special orders only
as USB is the norm. As Brett pointed hinted to, the USB touchpad wouldn't
work with the adapter. So that is why
I am stuck with a mouse.

Tom, are you suggesting that cutting the baud rate down to 600 will change
things ? or was it a type and you meant 9600.
I have tried at 9600, but the problem was the same. I am no longer on site
now
and will have to duplicate the problem with other gear where I am.
